Visitors

In principle, you can visit our website without revealing any personal information about yourself (name, phone number, mailing address or email address). Our web server collects summary information about the use of our website. However, we do not link IP addresses to information that can be traced back to a specific person. You therefore always remain anonymous when visiting our website. Please note, however, our notes on the use of the social media plug-ins we use on this website. In the event that the functions described there are used, you may be linked to your data used by certain social media providers.

Our web server also collects information such as number of visits, average visit time, and information about which pages were accessed. Again, this information cannot be traced back to a specific user. We only analyze how visitors use our website (e.g. how users found us) and thus derive information for possible optimization.

You may be asked to provide us with specific information about yourself when, e.g. requesting specific documents, registering for a seminar or other event, participating in a survey, etc. The disclosure of such information is always voluntary, but without this information we will not be able to carry out certain transactions.

Such collection of information is subject to the privacy policies of the company and the website on which it is collected. Please read the respective data protection regulations on the pages to which we forward and the notices at the end of this information.

Comment Function on This Website

In addition to your comment, the comment function on this page will also include information on when the comment was created, your e-mail address and, if you do not post anonymously, the username you have chosen.

Storage of the IP address

Our comment feature stores the IP addresses of users who write comments. Since we do not check comments on our site before activation, we need this data in order to be able to act against the author in the case of infringements such as insults or propaganda.

Subscribing to comments

As a user of the site, you can subscribe to comments after registering. You will receive a confirmation email to verify that you are the owner of the given email address. You can unsubscribe from this function at any time via a link in the info mails. The data entered as part of the subscription of comments will be deleted in this case; However, if you have submitted this data to us for other purposes and elsewhere (e.g. newsletter subscription), that data will remain with us.

Storage duration of comments

The comments and related data (e.g. IP address) are stored and remain on our website until the commented content has been completely deleted or the comments have to be deleted for legal reasons (eg offensive comments).

Legal basis

The comments are stored on the basis of your consent (Article 6, paragraph 1 of the GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time. An informal message via email to us is sufficient.

Newsletter Data / MailChimp

If you wish to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an e-mail address from you, as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided, and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data will not be collected or will only be collected on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending of the requested information.

For subscribing of our newsletter, we use the so-called double-opt-in procedure. In the case of double-opt-in, you check the appropriate box when you consent to the processing of your data. You will then receive an e-mail with a confirmation link. Only clicking on the confirmation link causes your data to be added to the mailing list.

The processing of the data entered into the newsletter registration form takes place solely on the basis of your consent (Article 6 (1) of GDPR). You can revoke your consent to the storage of data, the e-mail address and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. The legality of the already completed data processing operations remains unaffected by the revocation. The data provided by you for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be saved until it is deleted after the newsletter has been unsubscribed to.

The newsletter is distributed via MailChimp, an online marketing platform owned by Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave # 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. MailChimp is certified under the US-EU Privacy Shield Agreement and is committed to complying with EU data protection requirements.

The email addresses of our newsletter recipients are stored on MailChimp’s servers in the United States. MailChimp uses this information to send and evaluate newsletters on our behalf. MailChimp may use this data to optimize or improve its own services, e.g. for the technical optimization of delivery and the visual presentation of the newsletter.

By activating IP anonymisation on this website, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address provided by Google Analytics within the framework of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data provided by Google.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by a corresponding setting of your browser software; In this case, however, you may not be able to fully use all functions of this website. In addition, you may prevent the collection by Google of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

If your browser does not support this feature, a standard font will be displayed by your computer. More information on how to deal with user data can be found in the Google Privacy Policy: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/.
