We are pleased to introduce SPI SheetMetalWorks 2020 with valuable new features and improvements. Read on to find out all about it!
Get to know SPI SheetMetalWorks 2020
In addition to ensuring compatibility with Solidworks 2020, our team of programmers has worked hard to bring new functions and improvements to SheetMetalWorks 2020.
The in-built SPI Data Editor has received some important enhancements that will facilitate data output and further close the gap between design and manufacturing. For example, you can now assign unfold parameter sets and define cutting machines that should be used for creating a flat pattern. The assigning of unfold parameter sets and individual predefined bend tools is also available for bend machines.
If you work with BySoft or Cybelec, adding manufacturing data to your designs is now easier than ever. You can add information about bend direction, bend angle, and bend radius to the NC output. In addition, you can include user-defined texts and easily modify their position and appearance.
Other features that you can look forward to include:
- Simultaneous creation of flat patterns for different bending and cutting machines. Each unfolding can have its individual settings (shortening, z-shortening, and production radius) for a bending machine.
- Countersinks are automatically recognized and output with the corresponding core hole diameter.
- Machining tools, for instance, roll pinching tools, can be assigned to bends.
